SMS Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to the Beauty Table text messaging program (the "Program"), operated by Beauty Table, a nonprofit arts organization based in Lexington, Kentucky.

Program description

When you opt in, Beauty Table will send you text messages about events, gatherings, programs, and organizational updates for our creative community. Messages may include reminders for upcoming events, announcements of new offerings, and occasional news or invitations to support our work.

How to opt in

You can join the Program by submitting your mobile number and checking the consent box on our signup form at [beautytable.org/sms], [by texting JOIN to (phone number)], or [by checking the SMS consent box on a Beauty Table signup sheet at an event]. After you opt in, you'll receive a confirmation message. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any donation, purchase, or participation in our programs.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. We typically send [up to 4] messages per month, with additional messages around events you've registered for.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Beauty Table does not charge for the Program, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging rates apply to messages you send and receive. Check with your carrier for details about your plan.

How to opt out

You can cancel at any time by replying STOP to any message. You'll receive one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed, and you won't receive further messages unless you opt in again. You can also reply with CANCEL, END, QUIT, or UNSUBSCRIBE.

Carrier disclaimer

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier's network and coverage.

Eligibility

You must be the account holder of the mobile number you provide, or have the account holder's permission, to join the Program. By opting in, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian.

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Please see our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect and use your information. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you keep participating in the Program after changes are posted, that counts as accepting the updated terms.
