Beauty Table ("Beauty Table," "we," "us," or "our") is a nonprofit arts organization based in Lexington, Kentucky, dedicated to holistic care for the creative community through the values of Beauty, Craft, and Rest. It applies to our website, our email, events, text messaging programs, and any other way you interact with us.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you sign up for updates, register for an event, make a donation, contact us, or fill out a form, we may collect your name, email address, mobile phone number, mailing address, and any other details you choose to share, such as your creative discipline or how you heard about us.
Donation information. Donations and tax receipts are be processed by our fiscal sponsor, ACT International. We receive a record of your gift, including your name, contact information, and donation amount. Beauty Table does not store full credit card or bank account numbers.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site, hosted by Squarespace, uses cookies and similar technologies to collect basic information such as your browser type, device, pages visited, and general location. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
How we use your information
We use your information to send you the updates, newsletters, and text messages you've asked for, to process and acknowledge donations and provide tax receipts, to manage event registrations and program participation, to respond to your questions, to improve our website and programs, and to comply with legal and accounting obligations.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in to receive text messages from Beauty Table, we will use your mobile number to send messages about events, programs, and organizational updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any donation, purchase, or participation.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. This excludes our text messaging service provider, which processes messages on our behalf.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in limited circumstances:
With service providers who help us operate. These include our website host (Squarespace). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
With our fiscal sponsor, ACT International, as needed to process and record charitable gifts.
